The FarmBoy Wind Turbine

FarmBoy Wind Turbines are constructed with heavy-duty galvanized steel and are designed to stand up against all weather conditions. The wheel of the wind turbine is equipped with rounded arms, screw-mounted into the hub and locked into position to form a strong rigid wheel. These wind turbines come with up to 54 blades to maximize low wind speeds.

The turbine blades are heavily galvanized and have the correct curvature to develop great power even in light breezes. The wind turbines come with a complete lattice tower and are available in several heights to suit the location.

The wind turbine comes complete with automatic regulation system with dump load capability. The unit has an auto-furling device for high wind conductions. The turbine also has a manual brake system for shut down in case of major storms or service.

Low Wind Speed Benefits.

· With a cut-in wind speed of approximately 2 m/s (4.5 mph), the Enerex FarmBoy wind turbine can utilize the everyday breeze exceptionally well.
· In the wind speed range of 3m/s (6.8 mph) and 7m/s (16 mph), it out performs most of its competitors.
· The low rotation speed of the rotor makes this machine simple in design and extremely reliable.

Technical Benefits.

· Because the generator is mounted in the tower, it is easily accessible for maintenance and general inspections.
· The total structure is hot dipped galvanized which makes it corrosion free for many years, even near the sea.
· One can simultaneously generate electricity and drive a helical screw pump or any other rotary device.
· The permanent magnet (PM) alternator can be ordered for any voltage between 24 volt and 600 volt (depending on model). The 3-phase high voltage can be conducted over a relatively great distance and converted to a usable voltage via a suitable AC transformer.
· The simplicity of the design makes it easy even for novices to do the installation.
